Four blocks away from your room at the Hilton
My mind starts to wander
Welcome to the Emerald City
I begin to ponder
Three am shouting
Car alarms blaring
I’m falling through the floor
The walls are crumbling through the door
It’s hot as hell but dear god you’re freezing
Why do you look away?
What is your reason?
Why must you bring your own season?
I stare over your wall
We don’t look at each other
We can’t face one another
You don’t want to answer questions
And I don’t want a discussion
We become desensitized to each other
God this room is cold
I hear those specs make the city
